Brighton’s largest landlord threatens to quit city

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

In a news story today, Brighton’s largest private landlord, has threatened to give up on the city after having it’s fifth attempt to build homes and a GP surgery turned down.
Downlands Housing Trust wished to build on the former Gala bingo site in Portland Road, and this was rejected, yet again, by Brighton and Hove Council.

Think different

Monday, April 12th, 2010

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify and vilify them. About the only thing you can’t [...]

Last night I attended an amazing event “Let’s Dance 2010″ at the Dome in Brighton last night with some friends as two of their children were performing with the T21 Dance Crew.
The ages of the children involved in the event ranged from reception to young adults.  It is great to see such talent, passion and [...]

Brighton and Hove festival of shopping

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

I popped into town earlier and happened to notice a banner across North Street proclaiming April to be a “Festival of Shopping” in Brighton and Hove.
I’m a big fan of smaller businesses and in the case of retail many have had a tough time however i’m not certain that a festival of shopping is what [...]
