Work until you’re 100

Obviously I’m making up the 100, however in a story today the government has indicated that the retirement age (when the state pension can be be taken) is to continue rising.
With the retirement age forever moving higher and higher it may be possible that we’ll “work” all our lives.
Perhaps this may prompt people to pause for a moment and evaluate what they want from work / their life.
