Let’s dance 2010
By Mike Ashworth | March 26, 2010
Last night I attended an amazing event “Let’s Dance 2010″ at the Dome in Brighton last night with some friends as two of their children were performing with the T21 Dance Crew.
The ages of the children involved in the event ranged from reception to young adults. It is great to see such talent, passion and motivation and above all doing something they love that makes them smile. It was a fantastic evening.
Next time you read a story about the youth of Britain perhaps go and look elsewhere for the real stories that are occurring every day, the ones that don’t make the front pages of newspapers, such as this.
As the compere, Andy Marchant, from Dorothy Stringer School, pointed out, this is what most kids are actually like and not what you read in the press.
I was also impressed that Brighton leads the way with this, the biggest dance event in the UK.
I also discovered that their are links with an event called “Take Part”, which is the the Internation Festival of Sport for Brighton and also the Brighton and Hove School Sports Partnership. More about these in another post.
