Actions have consequences
By Mike Ashworth | January 31, 2010
I’m certain that it hasn’t escaped your notice that the papers have been full of stories about John Terry, the Chelsea player.
I’m not going to judge him as like most people (myself included) he is flawed.
If the papers are to be believed (and this may be a leap of faith)
- John Terry and Wayne Bridge’s friendship appears to have suffered irrepairable damage.
- Wayne Bridge and Vanessa Perroncel are no longer partners.
- John Terry and his wife may divorce.
- Vanessa Perroncel was persuaded to have an abortion.
- Irreparable damage to England’s chances of success at the World Cup in South Africa in June.
- Deeply unsettled his team-mates.
Who knows where the list of “knockons” will end.
A carnal distraction for John Terry has had enormous consequences (none which appear to be positive) and they don’t appear to have ceased yet.
Often we only hear about the negative effects of “actions have consequences” as can be seen above, however their is a flip side to the coin.
We live in a reciprocal universe. That is to say, what you put out is what you get back, often multiplied many times over.
If we put ourselves out there, to serve others, for no other reason than that is why we are here, with no expectation (as then you are into the realms of bartering and trading) then just imagine what might be possible.
