Some writing from a friend
By Mike Ashworth | December 24, 2009
I’m not angry,
I’m sad
My body’s hurting,
But mind’s not mad
I’m hungry for life
And starving myself to death…
Sing on a happier note,
There must be an antidote
A ray of sunshine
A summer breeze
A kiss from the autumn leaves
A drizzle of rainbow rain
A firework of bubbles
That will take away the pain
A smile on a familiar face
That reminds me
That living’s not
A frantic race
###################################
A stranger came to me
In my dream
Held my hand
And said to me
“You’ll burn in hell!”
I turned round and cried
Stop messing around
For all my sins
I’m still a human being
And I don’t care
Whether I’m praised in heaven
Or burning in hell….
#############################
I’m not the one to judge
And I’m not holding any grudge
Just found the valve
To get the steam out
And opened my soul
As I’ve never done before
And spoke through the words
That weren’t supposed to be
Heard….
And maybe I should stop
Before it gets too much
And by the time
The rooster screams
I’ll have a half of a book
Of my thoughts
Splashed on this screen….
###############################
The beauty of pain of living….
Makes me feel alive
The emptiness
Of the loneliness
Creeping to your heart
The shallow depth
Of being together
And still being
Miles apart
The void in your soul
That’s screaming
To be healed
And fill the empty parts
To strip off the mask you wear
And let yourself being loved…
####################################
Caged emotions
Blurred suggestions
Confused intentions
Uncertain ignitions
Imprisoned mind
Not able to
Get out
Giving up and
Being unsatisfied
Agreeing with the sentence
For being done for life
Losing the faith
Of getting out
Breaking the chains
And be alive
Giving up
The power
To fly
#################################
Got caught
In a tornado
Of thoughts
Some of them
Are crazy
Some of them
Lousy
Some of them
Happy
Some of them
Sad
The colours
Of theirs
Spectrum
Are driving me
Mad
