Woman assaulted in brighton after answering advert for massage
By Mike Ashworth | October 16, 2009
Police in Brighton and Hove are currently investigating a claim that a man offering to pay women to massage them sexually assaulted one of the women at her home.
The report in today’s Argus states that an 18-year-old woman in Brighton claims she responded to an advert on the online classified advertising site Gumtree where a man was offering to pay £15 for a massage model, who would receive a sensual massage. The woman claims he visited her home, where he performed the massage and then sexually assaulted her.
Interestingly the advert for a “massage model” still appears on the gumtree site and here is the link. I am making an assumption that this is the advert of course because of its wording.
female massage model required
Male masseur looking for a massage model to practice on.
Would be looking to visit you to practice.
So come on ladies if you fancy a free massage or just wanna help a guy out please get in touch.
Now working to the assumption that the above is the advert in question we now have a major gap in the account given and the advert. The advert states it is free and the lady who has made these allegations has claimed that she was paid £15, clearly something is amiss.
If the claims are true that a massage was all that was agreed and a sexual assault took place then a terrible crime has occurred. I’d urge everyone to be cautious when answering adverts for such “free” services.
