The importance of creating a backup of files from your computer
By Mike Ashworth | May 3, 2009
Here are the facts:
Every year 43% of computer users lose irreplaceable photos, emails, documents and other files.
Only 3 out of 100 laptops are recovered.
Up to 13% of hard drives crash in their first year of use.
The cost of employing a Company who can recover your lost data can run to over £1000. If you are running a Business a loss of data could prove devastating. As well as the cost of recovery their is also the loss of productivity whilst you deal with this disaster.
The following tools are considered to be “best in class” for home use or for the small business. They are inexpensive and much like insurance premiums you pay every year, they offer great peace of mind.
Acronis True Image

Carbonite Online Backup 3.5

Good advice - I’ve had almost all of my laptops die on me at some time, its the lack of productivity that costs you the most IMO..
cheers Mike
