good karma day
By Mike Ashworth | May 3, 2009
On Saturday I travelled up to London and whilst walking along the platform to board the train I spotted a £20 note on the floor. I decided to leave it there (there was nobody walking in front of me whom it might have been dropped by), as to be honest, I really don’t need £20 that much and maybe someone else does.
When I got up to London I popped into the newsagent just along from my “London local” the Chapel Pub, situated on Chapel Street in Paddington, to buy a paper.
When I got to the counter, I spotted a bundle of notes that were on top of some magazines on the counter, probably about £200-£300 and picked them up and said to the chap behind the counter “Is this yours?”, he responded “Blimey, I think it must belong to the guy from Bar sol, downstairs, thankyou”.
Good job I spotted it and handed it over to the guy behind the counter as he had clearly not spotted it and someone else could have palmed it and pocketed it.
