Chrissie Nicholson Wild wows the crowd at Charity Fashion Event

Last weekend the Usual Suspects Hair Salon put on a fashion show and hair gala with local design talent at Digital, Brighton with proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
UK Model and former “Miss Brighton” Lindsay Fergusson gracefully opened the show wearing a dazzling beaded evening corset and fishtailskirt from Curve Couture. Chrissie Nicholson-Wild created this outfit especially for Lindsay for this occasion.
Elaine Saunders, also known in Burlesque circles as Therese La Tease, sauntered down the catwalk with raunchy elegance.
Wearing a halter neck corset in gold threaded tweed and a bias cut fishtail skirt in bronze liquid satin she whipped the audience into a veritable frenzy.
“My inspiration for this ensemble is haughty couture, a phrase coined by Elaine in my very studio” said Chrissie. “We came up with the idea of an eccentric English Lady of the Manor character for this outfit and the rest naturally followed.”
Next up for Curve Couture was Chloe Williams strutting her stuff in an all black evening outfit comprising a black sequinned taffeta skirt and brocade corset embellished with ostrich feather trim and beaded and sequinned lace.
“I wanted to create an outfit just in black and use the excitement of texture and materials to bring this outfits dynamic
to life”, said Chrissie.
Lastly and most dramatically, Arwen Matthews used her formal acting talent and incrediblew sass to weart a glorious gown inspired by Marie Antoniette. Dressed in a side bustled skirt and corset of ivory duchesse satin with a six foot peacock feather train.
“It was a sweet moment to hear the audience gasp and clap so hard, it’s only then that you know your work is truly appreciated.” Said Chrissie.
