Charities being screwed over in Brighton

I have now heard a number of stories from different sources about certain “well known” people around Brighton failing to pay for items they have won in Charity auctions.
A lot of dedicated people put hard graft into making these Charity events go really well only to have certain people rob the Charity of valuable donations.
Once the auction has been and gone that’s it, you cant really go and re-auction an item again. Also, in one instance, the winner of an item had it signed with their name and then didn’t pay. That item could not be auctioned again. Nice one!
